Upon receiving the honor, Johnson expressed her gratitude and pride. She commended the ABF’s unwavering commitment to fostering a profound understanding of the law, which she believes is instrumental in creating a more equitable and just society. She is eager to contribute to this distinguished and influential assembly of legal professionals.

The ABF Fellows constitute a global society of legal luminaries – attorneys, judges, law faculty, and legal scholars – who have shown exceptional dedication to the loftiest principles of the legal profession. The fellowship is a significant recognition, extending invitations to less than 1% of practicing attorneys.

Johnson’s tenure at NAR began in 2007 as a staff attorney. Her dedication and expertise led to her promotion within seven years to the position of General Counsel and first Chief Member Experience Officer. In these roles, she has overseen legal compliance and professional programming for NAR’s members across the real estate industry.

Bob Goldberg, NAR’s Chief Executive Officer, lauded Johnson’s invaluable contributions to NAR and the broader legal community. He affirmed that Johnson’s recognition is a testament to her exceptional legal acumen and leadership skills.

Johnson’s academic achievements include an undergraduate degree from the University of Cincinnati, a Master of Law from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, and a Juris Doctorate from the Cardozo School of Law. Johnson has earned a reputation for her unwavering commitment to the practice of law, her advocacy for social justice, and as a reliable resource for NAR’s 1.5 million members. She is a respected figure in both the legal and real estate communities.
