Amplifind Music Player & Visualizer, a new iPad music player that produces high-quality audio, lightning-fast search, and a visualizer – all custom-built for the iPad, was today released and available through Apple’s iTunes music store.
As music player built by music-lovers for music-lovers, Amplifind was designed to be simple and fast.
According to Matthew Brown, Amplifind gets you to the music you want to hear when you want to hear it.
“In creating this new Amplifind music app, we’ve combined the best of cloud music services with high-quality engineering and design in building it,” says Brown, whose dissatisfaction with his iPad music experience led to the creation of a music player that can be used on a daily basis.
The three main characteristics building into the Amplifind music player are:
- Lighting fast, beautiful audio
- An online feature that searches and plays from cloud music services like SoundCloud, Grooveshark and Spotify (Spotify requires a subscription, the others are free) seamlessly
- Allow users to build playlists across all those services, as well as, iTunes library and locally downloaded files.
“Packaged in a very slick UI and focused on performance, the Amplifind music player provides a smooth, fun listening experience,” says Brown.
“To add to its visual appeal, we added a custom-built a visualization system for the iPad hardware,” adds Brown, co-created Amplifind with Simon Eschbach. The two met while working together on Bioshock 2. Since then, the duo has worked on Halo 4 and the recently released Splinter Cell: Blacklist.
With the two remaining friends over the years, Brown says it wasn’t any surprise when they both decided to collaborate on making the amazing music player, Amplifind.
We love music. We think everyone loves music. We’re also cheap, and get our music any way we can,” notes Brown, who believes these days, with services like iTunes, Grooveshark, SoundCloud, and Spotify, Amplifind simply the process of music discovery by making it all digital!
“Until now, this meant you had to visit each site separately to find and listen to the music you want. Now you can access it all in one place – through Amplifind,” adds Brown.
According to Brown, the Amplifind visualized music player system is for anyone who loves listening to music on their iPad, and in particularly people who use SoundCloud, Grooveshark or Spotify and want to mix their music libraries.
