Liberty Hall will stage its seventh annual educational symposium, Sankofa, under the theme “Examining Self-Identity Aymong people of African Descent in the 21st Century and Revisiting Garvey’s African Fundamentalism.”
The focus will be on notions of Black Self-Identity and how daily interactions consciously and unconsciously maintain racist notions. The theme is centred on fostering an appreciation for African aesthetics, exploring the historical foundations of low self-esteem, and, the problem of bleaching among people of African descent.
In an effort to reach a wider audience with this very topical and even more relevant discussion, Liberty Hall will make Sankofa VII available to our friends through web casting. If you are interested please provide reply to email@example.com by Friday, February 22 so that we can provide you with the information you will need to access this facility.,
