Entrepreneurs… are your goals in your head or on paper?

A business without purpose is like a Yin without Yang.

So, entrepreneurs, what are your goals?

A better question would be: "Where do you have your goals?"

“Oh, yes I have goals… they are right here in my heard,” you say.

Well, let me tell you it’s no good there – in your head. In fact, they are not yet your goals… they’re nothing but your dreams. And you know what happens to dreams… as quickly as they come; they disappear even quicker out of our mind. Ever had a dream that you try to remember, and just can’t?

So, my instruction to you is that you need to write them down… then when you do, they’ll become your goals. Remember, goals are dreams that you write down.

A goal keep you focus your attention on your intention – whatever that is. That’s the only time your mind will go to work… when it has a goal to focus is attention on. If you have no goal for your business, then you might as well close-up shop, and go look employment somewhere. Now as a business person, I urge you to go establish a goal worth working towards. That is the only thing that will kept you sane through the rough times. Another thing is for you to always have a contingency plan in place, or something ahead of you. It’s always a good idea to create a mental picture of your next move. It’s like playing a game of chess… thinking several moves ahead of the one you’re about to make. Constantly challenge yourself by giving yourself something meaningful to do. As a popular quote goes: “Do what you can do well, and do well whatever you can do and you'll achieve any goal that you set for yourself.”
