The fact that Montego Bay is the island’s tourism mecca presents the opportunity for a perfect marriage of sports and tourism as we look forward to working to further position Jamaica as the newest and best sports destination in the world. Burger King is already a strong supporter of Jamaica’s national athletic teams and we continue to be committed to the development of athletics in Jamaica. We anticipate another successful road race series and urge the support of all the communities in which the various events will be held.”
The aim of the road race series is to develop and promote log distance running in Jamaica and prepare athletes to compete in the annual Reggae Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K event which will be held in Negril on Saturday, December 5 this year.
